White Wizard Vinyl

This is a made up company I put together when I started a vinyl page on instagram showing my collection of wax (ww_vinyl). I created the gnome vector based off an incense burner I have made of clay, made by a company “White Wizards”. I decided to make the end of cigar look like a vinyl.

I wanted to create a really cool hand drawn abstract text for the lettering. After tons of sketches playing around with combining and cutting off letters, I finally landed on the text above. When I dropped the text into a circle, the tittle of the “I” in wizard landed perfectly in the center, which then created the illusion of it being on a record.

Now the Instagram page goes by Wax Wizard Vinyl, still @ww_vinyl (I still need to update the logo to match the new name, oh yeah and after I did all these mockups someone told me the plural of vinyl is vinyl…so I will be sure to drop the s on the next batch.)

Growth.

This started as a small idea, and grew into something much bigger (pun intended). Originally just a notebook sketch of combing letters in vines with the word “grow” with one flower. “Growth” was born once I decided I wanted to add more flowers. I finalized the letters and flowers on my iPad Pro and dropped in the Maryland flags in Adobe Illustrator. I will go revisit this one when I can and make the “Maryland Roots” more blended with the vines.
